Block & Bleed Valves

The main function of a double block and bleed system is isolation and the secondary function is intervention.
Under certain conditions, double block and bleed systems are required to prevent product contamination or when essential equipment needs to be removed from service for cleaning or repair while the unit continues to operate.

Of course, such equipment must be provided with a spare or it must be possible to temporarily avoid it without turning off the unit.
The nature of the fluid, its pressure and temperature, and many other factors must be considered when determining the need for double block and bleed systems.

Monoflange valves are used as an alternative to a system that has multiple valves. They are specially designed to provide a compact installation for transmitters and gauge instruments.
